School is a crucial space for children's development, as it is where they begin to explore the world and construct knowledge about it. One of the most effective ways to learn is through experimentation, or by getting hands-on experience and practicing what is being taught.
Recently, we had a very fun and enriching activity on how wind moves things in their English class. Using balloons and a lot of creativity, the children were able to experiment with the effects of wind in practice.
This activity was important because it allowed the children to learn in a more significant and interesting way. Instead of just hearing about the wind, they were able to feel it and understand how it works.
Furthermore, experimentation is a way to stimulate children's curiosity and creativity, as they have the opportunity to explore and discover new things on their own. This helps to develop their self-confidence and autonomy.
Another advantage of experimentation is that it helps to cement learning in children's memories. When they experience in practice what they are learning, the information becomes clearer and easier to remember. When coloring the balloons in their books, they commented and shared memories of making the balloons move.

A escola é um espaço muito importante para o desenvolvimento das crianças, pois é aqui que elas começam a explorar o mundo e a construir o conhecimento sobre ele. Uma das formas mais eficazes de aprender é através da experimentação, ou seja, colocando a mão na massa e vivenciando na prática aquilo que está sendo ensinado.
Recentemente, a turma do maternal III da nossa escola teve uma atividade muito divertida e enriquecedora sobre como o vento move as coisas na aula de inglês. Utilizando balões e muita criatividade, as crianças puderam experimentar na prática os efeitos do vento.
Essa atividade foi muito importante porque permitiu que as crianças aprendessem de forma mais significativa e interessante. Ao invés de apenas ouvir sobre o vento, elas puderam sentir na pele e entender como ele funciona.
Além disso, a experimentação é uma forma de estimular a curiosidade e a criatividade das crianças, pois elas têm a oportunidade de explorar e descobrir coisas novas por conta própria. Isso ajuda a desenvolver a autoconfiança e a autonomia dos pequenos.
Outra vantagem da experimentação é que ela ajuda a fixar o aprendizado na memória das crianças. Quando elas vivenciam na prática aquilo que estão aprendendo, as informações ficam mais claras e fáceis de lembrar. Na hora de colorir os balões no livro, eles estavam comentando e dividindo as memórias de terem feito os balões se mexerem.
