Sitting around the fire
The campfire appears as a symbolic element in various cultures. It was, before electricity, a source of heat, light, and a place to cook food. But more than that, it was also where people would gather, tell stories, sing songs and play games. Sitting around the fire brought people together, in a way, it shaped society. It gave them a sense of belonging, it helped create a community.
It united people.
Today we still build fires, there is something mesmerizing about watching the flickering flames and hearing the crackling sound of burning wood.
Maternal II has been learning about campfires. On June 5th they gathered around a fire to listen to the story of Goldilocks. On June 7th they used colored hand cutouts to build their own campfire in unity.
The objective of this activity was not only to learn about campfires but also to solidify previous knowledge. We reviewed the colors red, yellow, and orange; we reviewed 'hand' while tracing their hands onto the paper; we also reviewed the concepts of 'hot' and 'cold'.

A fogueira aparece como um elemento simbólico em várias culturas. Era, antes da eletricidade, uma fonte de calor, luz e um lugar para cozinhar alimentos. Mas mais do que isso, era também onde as pessoas se reuniam, contavam histórias, cantavam músicas e brincavam. Sentar ao redor do fogo uniu pessoas, de certa forma, moldou a sociedade. Deu a eles um senso de pertencimento, ajudou a criar uma comunidade.
Hoje ainda construímos fogueiras, há algo hipnotizante em assistir às chamas dançando e ouvir os estalos da madeira queimando.
O Maternal II tem aprendido sobre fogueiras. Em 5 de junho, eles se reuniram ao redor de uma fogueira para ouvir a história da Cachinhos Dourados. Em 7 de junho, eles usaram recortes de mãos coloridas para construir sua própria fogueira em unidade.
O objetivo desta atividade não foi apenas aprender sobre fogueiras, mas também solidificar conhecimentos anteriores. Revisamos as cores vermelho, amarelo e laranja; revisamos 'mão' enquanto traçávamos suas mãos no papel; também revisamos os conceitos de 'quente' e 'frio'.
